BAPTA 4K - Introduction
2,2 '-(ethylenedioxy)dianiline-N,N,N',N'-tetraacet is an organic compound with the chemical formula C24H28K4N2O12.
Nature:
2,2 '-(ethylenedioxy)dianiline-N,N,N',N'-tetraacet is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water and alcoholic solvents. It is a weakly basic compound that reacts with acids to form salts.
Use:
2,2 '-(ethylenedioxy)dianiline-N,N,N',N'-tetraacet is used as a catalyst for coordination chemical reactions and can be used for acylation, esterification and carbonyl reduction reactions in organic synthesis. It can also be used as a raw material for the synthesis of dopamine receptor drugs.
Preparation Method:
The preparation of 2,2 '-(ethylenedioxy)dianiline-N,N,N',N'-tetraacet is generally accomplished by synthetic procedures. First, 2,2 '-(ethanyl) diphenylamine is reacted with an appropriate amount of acetic anhydride in an appropriate solvent to give the product. The product is then reacted with an appropriate amount of potassium hydroxide under alkaline conditions to give the final product.
